It’s time once again for The MoeGamer Podcast, featuring my mellifluous tones alongside my regular podcasting buddy (and just plain ol’ buddy) Chris Caskie.
I’ve had a few people asking if there is an audio version of the podcast and the answer is “not yet”. However, after payday and the month’s Patreon donations come in, I’m going to set up an audio-only version of the podcast for the benefit of those who prefer to listen and/or wish to subscribe via services such as iTunes.

In this episode, we follow our usual three-part format, beginning with a discussion of recent happenings in gaming that have caught our eye. As always, this isn’t intended to be a comprehensive rundown of “big news”, but rather just things the pair of us have found intriguing or otherwise noteworthy.
We follow this with our standard second segment in which we talk about what we’ve been playing recently. I wax lyrical about Dragon Quest, while Chris has things to say about Shining Resonance Refrain (a game that I’d very much like to cover at some point in the future here on the site) and Sonic Mania.
Finally, our main topic for the episode concerns “dead” franchises that we’d like to see resurrected, be they sprawling RPGs (most of them are sprawling RPGs), cutesy platformers or spectacular racers.
